Like the Loring Pasta Bar, the Varsity Theater ( just 5 minutes from either downtown, 10 minutes from Uptown) offers valet parking at exceeding modest rates. Easier still, let one of the three MTC lines that service Dinkytown be your magic carpet to an afternoon or evening of romance, intrigue, mystery, and adventure. Whether you're coming from Edina (#6), Uptown (#6), the Wedge (#2), Whittier (#2), downtown Minneapolis (#6U, #3)-or even downtown Saint Paul (#3)-getting to and from the Varsity is as easy as hopping on a bus.There's plenty of nearby bike parking, too!

PARKING

Metered parking is available around the theater with the the average of $1.25 per hour. Parking meters are free after 10pm. Parking lots can be found just a block east of the Varsity Theater, along 5th Street between 13th avenue and 16th avenue. The Dinkytown parking lot is $1 an hour. The U of MN Technology Building lot is $1 an hour before 5pm, $4 all evening after 5pm and free from 10pm-2am.
