- Pete Yorn - National Touring Artist
"The Varsity Theater is 100% gorgeous. crazy lights, persian rugs,

flora on stage, ottomans and love seats. it's like a supersecret speakeasy

from the days of yore. feeling very excited about this show.

i'm going to get lots of footage from this one. superstoked."

- Billy Graves - Howwastheshow.com

"Saturday night's show was my first experience at the Varsity Theater,
and I have to say I was impressed. Walking in to the Varsity Theater is
like walking in to a scene from /The Great Gatsby/. I can't imagine many
venues that can pull off plush couches surrounded by red velvet curtains
and get away with it as successfully as the Varsity. The Theater could
easily be a venue where one feels out of place without a white
pinstriped suit or low-cut cocktail dress. Thankfully, the DeVotchKa
crowd wasn't that kind of audience."

- Mark Smith 'Wiff' - Tour Manager for KT Tunstall
"Just wanted to drop you a quick line to say a HUGE thank you to you and all
the staff down at The Varsity. Everybody was extremely hospitable and
helpful on the day and all contributed to making the day for myself, Privet
and Mickey and the show for Kate and Luke a great occasion... And what a
marvellous light show... We never had one of those yet or since."

 - Charlotte Martin - National Touring Artist
"After being on the road for years and playing almost every venue of every

market, when I first walked into the Varsity Theater I had to catch my breath

because its so beautiful. The vibe of the room is like one I've never played in.

It gives both the audience and performer a rare experience of intimacy even

though its a huge room.  I plan on coming back on every record I tour on as

long as they'll have me. Its impossible to have nothing but a moving show at the

Varsity. Its legendary in my opinion and a landmark that all bands, artists,

and listeners will never ever forget."

- David Rachac - Howwastheshow.com

"The Varsity is an absolutely gorgeous place for a show, maybe the best in

town. With a comfortable décor and a large open performance space, the sightlines

are second to none – and the live music experience is enhanced by a tremendous

sound and lighting system. They have paid attention to the things that matter

most to the music fan, so there is little confusion why the Varsity is quickly

becoming THE place for local and smaller touring bands to play."

- Stuart Davis - National Touring Artist

"The Varsity is not only the best venue in Minnesota, it's one of the greatest theaters

I've ever played -anywhere.  After fifteen years of touring, doing over 1,000 shows in

the U.S. and Europe, I've worked every kind of room.  The Varsity is as kick-ass as

they come, and every detail -sound, lighting, layout, design, and the staff- is unexcelled.

It makes it incredibly easy to have a great show."

- Mary Rea - Howwastheshow.com

"Sometimes a rising star and the ideal venue collide and an audience experiences

a concert that stands out in individual and collective memory. Regina Spektor’s

recent appearance at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis was one of those

occasions. The intimate, vaudevillian Varsity, the only Twin Cities venue decorated

to reflect not only its past but the current resurgence of cabaret sensibility and nightclub decadence, was the ideal setting for this remarkable singer/songwriter’s appearance."

- Bill Boulger - Indietickets.com

"Thanks again for your support with using Indie Tickets for Varsity Theater events.

I was down at the Varsity last night and things were looking and sounding fantastic,

so we're really glad to have been involved in the Varsity as it has come to fruition and developed a great reputation as a venue.  Yours is exactly the type of

unconventional and forward-thinking venue we created Indie Tickets to work

with, so we appreciate the opportunity.'

- Dave Sheets - Cities 97/Clear Channel Radio

A huge thank you from Cities 97 and myself.  The venue, staff, food, atmosphere

was perfect.  Only compliments from the guests.  It was a great success and I hope

to continue working with you as well in the future on this project along with others.

Thank you so much again and tell your staff the same."

- Dennis Pelowski - Quietdrive's Manager

What a wonderful night we had for our CD release show.  Your staff was its

usual excellent self, and we just love the venue.  We tell every band we cross

paths with about it,  with pride.  Minneapolis is just so much better off with the

Varsity in such good hands.   We cant wait to return in August, and I hope to see

all of you a few times before then.

- Bell X1 - Tour Blog

Another beautiful venue is The Varsity in Minneapolis.  A wonderland

of crushed velvet couches and funky dim table lamps and mirror balls.
